• All data is stored in the EU in an ISO 27001:2005 certified data centre.
• Bank details are stored in an encrypted format blowfish encryption algorithm and only ever displayed back using the last few characters, e.g. XX-XX-75 (sort code) XXXX9876 (account number).

With Your Talent Bank there are no up-front costs for software licences. There are no space requirements for your University, as our system is able to be accessed through the web and phone apps. We charge according to what you need and it is normally a transactional basis. There are various ways you can start with ‘Talent Bank’ and the options depend on how you are currently running and what sort of changes you want to see happening. Some Universities take a more stepped approach to getting to their goal, and we are happy to work at your pace.

• Not necessarily. There are examples of students currently working with confidential student and staff data, although the decision on appropriateness will depend on the tasks required and the data involved. Students who are registered as casual workers are made aware of the Confidentiality policy of the College, and this can be restated at induction. Students who work for the College as temporary staff should be regarded as members of staff in the same way as anyone else, and expected to adhere to the same levels of professionalism.

• Students and Casual workers using the system to register for work are asked to provide the same basic details for managers to look at; adopting standard measures for treating candidates fairly, such as omitting personal details from any selection decisions is an important part of retaining impartiality. You can select workers on a first come first serve basis or by, for example, interviewing several students/workers who have expressed interest.

• The online recruitment system has in-built reporting capacity and recruitment data will be available to monitor equality and diversity trends. It is the responsibility of each manager to work in line with the College’s Equality and Diversity Statement and Policies.
